Jun. 15th, 2012 10:18 pmNot dead yet! Just had a couple of busy, busy days (and the weekly neighborhood potluck) and the word count has suffered. I did get some words today. I hope to have more tomorrow.
New words: 399...for both days together. Yeah, not so great.
Total words: 4683
Mean things: flashback to previous book's trauma; worse, having a witness to said flashback.

I've discovered that what worked as magical realism up in the unsophisticated rural mountain communities is, in the relatively more educated city, more like straight up fantasy. It's a little disconcerting.
