Research Redux
Mar. 3rd, 2007 09:19 pmI spent great gobs of time the other day just trying to think of search terms that would get me at the concept of two objects vibrating one another apart. You know, like the footsteps of soldiers in formation are supposed to be able to do, sometimes, to some bridges? Then when I asked a friend about the subject and was trying to explain to her what I wanted to research, the damned word popped right out of my mouth.
Resonance.
Then I cheerfully went off and spent more time reading about resonance.
Oh, and I've been hitting quota, too. *g*
280 pages nets me 70K words in SMF (that's Standard Manuscript Format). My goal is 90K. Don't know how the hell I'm going to get there, but I am officially Not Worrying. That's a problem for revision.

A classic case of resonance causing catastrophic failure
Keep at the words - they will flow.
