Step 1: Make sure you are using Firefox Step 2: Apply Adblock Plus plugin and, if necessary, the Remove It Permanently plugin. Step 3: Repeat "screw you, hippies" as often as necessary when you are untouched by the ads, regardless of frequency and number.
I'm sorely lacking in the execution of step 3; I'd better catch up on that :)
Firefox is an excellent alternative to Safari, as well :) Seeing as how there aren't any ad-filtering plugins for Safari that I'm aware of.
To be honest, I've to date found only one advantage Safari offers over other browsers under OS X: It's aesthetically pleasing. And I haven't gone to the effort of loading skins up on Firefox, so for all I know that's not an actual advantage.
It hasn't a name. *g* I don't name my cars, either--I know, totally lacking in imagination. I got a MacBook last October when my old laptop finally bit the dust. I thought about a Pro, but couldn't justify the extra expense. Though I did like the case, very much....
