So far, that plot outline I came up with at the start of this project is not helping much. I know the direction I want to move the narrative, but the level of conflict is not as high as I'd like and the characters are behaving more like cats (as in, herding them in a particular direction is a major challenge). Still, we're making progress. I was able to lay down the bones of some foreshadowing without an infodump.

I find that even when I outline, I forget to use all of the notes and ideas I come up with. I set off writing, get stuck, reread notes, and find all this groovy stuff. The problem then being that to incorporate them, I have to do a MAJOR rewrite. :-
